We continue to welcome the sharing of prayer rock experiences. These pictures mean so much and as we said before we hope you continue to use your prayer rocks daily. All prayer rocks were hand collected near Mrs. Latus' home beach on Lake Ontario.
This week we looked back to a growing creature that one student brought in and used cubes to count how long he is. Turns out he grew to be 22 cubes long!! Now we are waiting to see if the crocodile shrinks. Some say yes some say no...we shall see!! We also analyzed why it may shrink. Some theories state that tiny holes like on our skin that make us sweat may be on this creature too!
As mentioned before 2D and 3D shapes have been the talk of the class.
Below are some fun ways that some boys used 3D shapes to build their own creations along with explanations of their shapes and work.
When outside today students decided to draw lines with sticks. We further extended this to see if we could recognize letters in our name and other letters and than practice writing letters in the wet ground.
