Week 2 continued (a few more from a fun week)

Reminder to parents/guardians,
Year Two students bring in your challenge folders this week 😊. We can't wait to see what you did with the sight words!

Thursday-we will be running for Terry Fox (donations can be made online as specified in an email sent out by our principal). We ask ALL students to be dressed in active gear and have outdoor running shoes on their feet Thursday.

Challenge in classroom:
Can you make numbers with our toys?
Some students got very creative!
Patterning continues to be a favourite activity too.
Some of us make letters with our toys.
The year two students have started using letter sounds and sight words to try to write sentences.
We continue to wonder about little critters we see outside. We really enjoyed exploring under and around our "cottages" (that's what the students call our portables).
(We also found interesting flowers we liked).
The Dot presentation was UNREAL and had us dancing and clapping to one of our favourite stories. The message in the book about "Making YOUR Mark" is a great one. A great way to follow up international dot day last week.
Some of our monkeys wanted to practise adding on the small white board. Take a look...
Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. See you tomorrow!
