Using the white board and magnetic manipulatives to work on counting and numbers. Students learned to count and recount to correct themselves.
We are learning that it is okay to share all our toys with boys and girls and it is so nice to see everyone using our toys together.
Chalk was used outside to inspire counting and writing. Here we see one of our students trying to write the entire alphabet and than he practiced saying the letters. On the right is one of our students who drew hearts and we counted three times to make sure we counted right. She drew 42! Wow that's a lot of work.
Sorting on the light table and on the carpet has become a great and fun math activity. This has been completely initiated by our amazing students.
Let's not forget the media inspired smiles (lol).
Some of us are starting to enjoy BUGS! Perhaps a fun bug inquiry is in the works...wait and see.
We did many other fun things to help us learn. However, DOT day today was super duper fun and the best part of the week!Today was Dot Day and we read this wonderful story...(there will also be an assembly on it next week).
We also were in the dot spirit and many of us dressed for the occasion.
We also did a circle/dot scavenger hunt in the classroom. Overall, a GREAT week with all of us together for the first time!
We hope you enjoyed the post.
P.S we are still hoping for any spare book donations if you have books you do not need/use anymore for our reading corner.
We really love to look at books.
