Fall has inspired some amazing creativity in our classroom. Here we see fall trees students are making. They can use real leaves or the ones the students tore up from paper.
Last Friday we enjoyed a story outside about leaves and counting. We than brought our clipboards outside and invited our artists to recreate the great outdoors in partners or on their own. What a neat way to see how our little monkeys view the world around them. This is a great way to spark learning about nature but also to encourage team work, social skills, and those fine motor skills used when drawing.
Scholastic has challenged our readers to read to the class and be the teachers, if they would like to try! So far we have had three readers share their stories! Great reading and it is so much fun placing emojis onto our chart!
Some of us have been using the smart board to practise our printing and labeling skills.
Our new sensory table has been a hit!
As for our light table it continues to be a great place to sort and make patterns.
More pattern and fall updates to come by the weekend!
