Shapes, patterns, and FAMILY inquiry

Last week our students showed plenty of interest in making new shape with cars!! What a cool idea!! Diamonds, triangles, and squares were made.
Our math challenge was to try to tile the floor with a pattern with our cool laminated shapes. The students had so much fun making new patterns and being creative all while working on team work! We were very proud of all of them.
Our family branches are now all over our classroom and they look fantastic. We sure do have some creative students. It was so much fun to make these with found branches from our ravine walk.
We also continued our little family inquiry by using sight words to create sentences about our family picture and it has helped create a fun family wall display.
Now all of you will always be with us during the day!
We sure do love adding and subtracting ...below is our stamptacular math challenge.
Ms. Flor taught us a fun game...ask your children about it!
