A November Update

Please note our ROCKIN' READERS program has begun. Parents who wanted to volunteer were provided reading schedules. Books in November will replace the year two student challenge this month to minimize the amount of folders being sent home during this month. New challenge will appear during December. Rockin' Readers books can stay with you for up to a week. Read and reread the books for fun and to learn more about words/letters as well as, to fall in love with reading. Not all children will get a book each week but parent volunteers will do their best to read with as many students as possible when they are visiting.
Friday the 18th-for a TOONIE donation to the UNITED WAY we ask we all wear RED.
16th-Dental Check...please see note that went home and that was sent via Remind.

Now to the fun pictures...
Halloween sure was a blast! Thank you to everyone for making sure treat snacks are limited to one a day and are peanut/nut free.
Working together and problem solving sure did help us try to figure out how to balance on these fun newly discovered toys. Plenty of Belonging and Contributing was displayed here.
We learned all about germs and how to clean our hands properly when Sheridan students came to visit us. Please always remind your children the value in proper hand washing.
Our worm saving squad loved helping worms go to safe areas so that they wouldn't get hurt. What a fun way to show we care for Gods creations.
Our new kitchen donation sure was a hit! We are looking for gently used aprons and kitchen mits to add to our great kitchen. We have something FUN planned (your clue is pizza)!
Learning about letters, words, and shapes continues to be a blast in our classroom.
We did Christian Meditation and reflected on what PEACE means as we approach Remembrance Day. We love showing that we are peacemakers with our peace sign necklaces.

Have a great rest of the week!
We are excited to have you visit us next week during your observations.

Oh one last thing...we really love visiting the computer lab! Take a look...we work in partners and learn.
