Spring is in the air!

What better way to welcome Spring at school than by saying "Hello" to some fun little creatures. Thank you to the Brown family for making Earth Rangers a part of our day today! We even got a special meet and greet with our fave little guy "Timber" the Pine Marten after the official presentation with Mrs. Bradley and her class. We asked many questions and had so much fun!
If you are wondering how you and your child can be an official Earth Ranger just visit: https://www.earthrangers.com/

Patiently waiting to meet all the animals and to learn about how we little people can help some amazing animals.
Our little Pine Marten friend Timber is above ready to climb all over his friend. *Videos are posted on the Home Room page of Timber showing off his skills.
Our special meet and greet with Timber is above.
Some of the other animals we met:
Finnigan was pretty neat!
This little armadillo showed off how he can hide from predators.
Do you know what animal this is?
We also had some teacher vs student trivia fun-guess who won-our smart
St. Matts kids of course!
Even our PM supports these wonderful missions and he is an Earth Ranger with his family!
One last one of Timber just because we think he is the cutest little creature ever.
Again thank you to the Brown family who helped bring these wonderful animals to our school today. To thank you here is a special picture of your boys and Timber.

Celebrating a special man today!

Yay Dr. Seuss! We love your rhymes and fun books!
Hats Off to Dr. Seuss's Birthday!

March 2nd is Dr. Seuss’s birthday—what better way to celebrate than to read? Did you know Dr. Seuss would be 113 this year? While he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in the pages of his books. He forever changed the way children’s books were written and continues to inspire generations. So this month, why not host a fun, whimsical party? Read Dr. Seuss books, use your imagination, and be silly!

In Katroo, every year, on the day you were born

They start the day right in the bright early morn

When the Birthday Honk-Honker hikes high up Mt. Zorn and lets loose a big blast on the big Birthday Horn.
And the voice of the horn calls out loud as it plays:
"Wake up! For today is your Day of all Days!"

— Happy Birthday to You!

We celebrated with books, making rhymes, making fun hats and watching a quick Cat in the Hat video! What a great day!
