Using the outdoors in fun ways today!
We decided to use indoor materials outside today to do some learning! We played many cooperative games with the parachute, we enjoyed creating art on our school wall with water colours, and we are even creating a new alphabet area in our yard. Check it out...

Animal FUN and plenty of learning!
Wow! What a fun and busy few weeks we have had! Our students have had so many great opportunities over the last little while to develop their love of learning and embrace learning about animals in various areas. Thank you to all the parent volunteers that were able to join us on our zoo field trip! We had a BLAST and we couldn't have done it without all your kindness and support. We saw so many animals and learned a lot about their habitats.
Before the zoo we also met some amazing new bunnies which we have since welcomed into our classroom. We have loved incorporating literacy, art, science, and other areas of learning with these cuties names Midnight and Daisy.
We have learned about what we need to do to help care for our bunnies and our team work has been incredible. We all do help with bunny messes too.
Our students are learning how to be gentle and how to care for our new furry friends daily and are doing an amazing job.
Our zoo trip was so exciting and we learned so much about where animals live and what they eat as well as, various adaptations that animals have to survive. Some students have shared so much through the use of PebbleGo and we have done oral presentations to teach one another our learnings about animals.
After the zoo some of our monkeys inspired to use water colours to recreate some of their favourite animals. Just not the same day because on our way back our little friends were quite sleepy.
We have also been monitoring and learning about how living things like plants and flowers can survive and have planted a small garden.
Here's a little playground update...our students have now become musical with our found items from the ravine-check out our drummer!
Finally, thank you to the families who are helping us pass along our #convoplate and are keeping the conversation about mental health awareness in young people going! Your support is very much appreciated.

Catholic Education Week
We hope everyone enjoyed the AMAZING weather this week but most of all we wish all the mommies the BEST MOTHER'S day ever!!! We hope Sunday brings you plenty of smiles and memories that will last a life time.
We hope you enjoy the gift the student's made for you. Don't forget to add the important things we learned about in class to it to allow it to grow. We are sure your child will be eager to help!
This Friday ended Catholic Education week. Thank you to all the parents/guardians that were able to make it and thank you to everyone who couldn't but was thinking of us.
This cross below will always be a beautiful memory from that week. We hope you keep your photo safe for years to come. If for some reason your child did not receive one please let us know.
The outdoors continue to inspire us. Below you will see a campfire with marshmallows made out of materials we have found and how a beautiful tree in the field inspired some to draw beautiful pictures (all student led ideas).
We also found some cherry blossom tree parts which are fuzzy and we will use for art.
Star Wars day this week was a hit! "May the forth be with you" was brought to life by our very own Princess Leia. Thank you for bringing in special treats for the class. We also used recyclables to make a Darth Vader room, a Yoda house and a pod racer.
Some students explored a truck and we tried to see how many students could fit into it! Check out how many fit WOW!
Some of the best fun we had was when we planted flowers and learned all about what seeds need to grow. There were 4 main things seeds need...ask your child to tell you about them.
Game 3 for Raptors today (in this round) and we have many fans in our class! Go Raptorssssssss!!!
